somponnat sampattavanich

Assistant Professor
Department of Pharmacology, Mahidol University, Thailand

Dr. Somponnat Sampattavanich is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Director of the Siriraj Center of Research Excellence for Cancer Precision Medicine and Systems Pharmacology. His research integrates spatial biology, multi-omics profiling, and quantitative systems pharmacology to address tumor heterogeneity, therapeutic resistance, and biomarker discovery in cancer. He leads interdisciplinary platforms that combine spatial transcriptomics and proteomics, organoid-based functional assays, and computational modeling to translate high-dimensional omics data into clinically actionable insights.

Dr. Sampattavanich has spearheaded national and international collaborations deploying multi-omics technologies in patient cohorts, with a strong emphasis on experimental design, cohort architecture, and real-world clinical correlation. His work focuses on bridging discovery-scale omics with clinical decision-making in precision oncology.  He is the founder and lead organizer of AP-SciBio (Asia-Pacific Spatial Biology and Single-Cell Innovation), a regional platform advancing spatial and multi-omics research through scientific exchange, training, and translational collaboration. At Multi-Omics 2026, he will discuss how integrative spatial and multi-modal analytics can accelerate translational impact. He is an active contributor to the PEACE Symposia, fostering cross-continental collaboration in emerging omics-driven biomedical innovation.
