Professor Mainthan Palendira is the Academic Director of Sydney Cytometry, a core research facility at the University of Sydney, and Professor of Translational Immunology in the School of Medical Sciences. He also leads the Human Immunology Laboratory at the Charles Perkins Centre, where his team conducts cutting-edge research into how the human immune system responds to cancer, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases.

His work bridges fundamental immunology and clinical application, playing a key role in advancing translational research programs across the University of Sydney and through national and international collaborations.
